GP Trainees / Registrars
High Street Medical Centre is a training practice for future GPs. The doctors who train with us are all fully qualified with several years' experience as hospital doctors. Registrars are attached to the Medical Centre and see patients by appointment like the other doctors.
You may find the trainee sitting in with other doctors or nurses during their surgeries. You will be told beforehand and asked to give your consent; you may decline but please try to help us in training the GPs of the future.
Medical and Nursing Students
We teach medical students and from time to time they sit in on clinics to gain experience in general practice. You will be told beforehand if there is a student, and if you prefer to see the doctor alone please tell the receptionist.
The practice hosts research in collaboration with various NHS organisations.
